The Mizoram Christian College was established on 5th Oct, 2020. The inauguration was held at JM Lloyd Hall, a part of the Synod Office. The campus for the college encompasses a vast empty land at Tanhril, and currently, it shares its campus with Synod Higher Secondary School Compound Arts Block. A private building is also rented for Commerce and Management Blocks at Mission Vengthlang. The college is under the supervision of the MCC Managing Board, and in 2021, the Synod recognized it as a full board as part of the Synod Inkhawmpui. There are a total of 14 members in the Board, where the Synod Moderator Rev. Dr .C Zorammawia, Synod Sr. Executive Secretary serves as the ES in-charge, while the Principal of the college, Upa Dr. Tawnenga serves as the Board Secretary.
There are a total of 35 workers in the college, whith 27 Faculty members, 7 Non-Teaching Staff and 1 Principal. It houses a total of 336 admitted students. Although the college is in its initial stages, huge developments have been initiated. CCA Period is utlised every Friday at 2:30 pm to welcome various activities for the students, and weekly devotion is also held every Monday at 2:45 pm, where various invitees have also taken to the stage. There is also a Faculty and Students exchange programme initiated by the college, and off campus classes are utlised so that students can have an opportunity to learn not only from the four walls of their classrooms. The college mainly aims to carve out skilled and able students with good Christian ethics.
There is a Students Body put in place in the college, as well as five (5) clubs the students can participate in, namely - Literature Club, Adventure Club, Agripreneur Club, Chuailo Cultural Club, Art & Music. There is also an Evangelical Union (EU) and 3 National Service Scheme (NSS) Units. The college also boasts a huge and complete library.
